The Synergy between Wellness and Health, a Better Quality of Life and Longevity.

{Michael G. Tompkins, a synergy creator}

Hi there, and welcome to our #whileinside #stayathome Blog series! Today we had the pleasure to chat with Michael G. Tompkins, Partner at Hutchinson Consulting, about a new model of wellness communities, the synergy between wellness and health to achieve a better quality life and longevity.

Michael is a visionary leader in the luxury hospitality, healthcare, wellness, and spa industries. Michael G. Tompkins has led celebrated teams to success for over twenty-five years.

He has held CEO positions with Miraval Resorts, Hilton Head Health, and PALM Health, a Past Chairman of the International Spa Association (ISPA), and executive positions with Canyon Ranch Health Resorts.

Michael credits his success in building executive management teams who excel in efficiency while creating a culture for guests and staff.

Currently, Michael is a partner with Hutchinson Consulting, a St. Louis based firm with a one-stop-shop for hospitality/wellness concept, building, repositioning, marketing, and recruiting. He is a global keynote speaker with more than a dozen engagements annually. Hutchinson Consulting entered the Senior Living space in 2017. Their recruitment firm has a database of 25,000 four- and five-star hospitality executives that their company plans to assimilate into the Senior Living Industry to bridge healthcare with hospitality and assist with labor shortages facing Senior Living.

His idea is creating communities where there is a synergy between wellness and health actively accessible to the community, not only for seniors citizens but also for their families and the community around them.

The center of this vision is the development of community centers where members of the community, living there or affiliated members, have access to health services, wellness programs, coaching, social gatherings, and fitness.

Considering that experts are saying that 2022 there will be more patients than doctors, it is time to have an inclusive approach.

These synergy programs are designed to involve the patient, their family, and the community around them while sharing a healthier lifestyle.

During the interview, Michael mentions an example created by Hutchinson consulting that is the making at the moment; this is the future or senior living. A community that looks after them, an integrative team.

Michael also shared some ideas on the COVID 19 Wellness Tourism effect; If you want to hear more we invite you to join us for a webinar on April 17, 11 am – Click here for more information.
